Ian interrupted Eve's praise of Kevin so that he could hold Daniel for a moment. He told Eve that he planned on visiting Daniel at the Lighthouse. Eve looked to Kevin for confirmation, and he agreed that Ian could have supervised visits. Ian was furious at Kevin's interference with his family, but Kevin reminded him that he was the baby's guardian for the time being. Lucy cut in and blasted Kevin for supporting Eve when he had refused to help her find Christina. Kevin shocked her by saying that he was tired of the way she made her imaginary problems more important than anything else. Kevin and Eve returned to the Lighthouse, and Lucy followed intent on apologizing. When she overheard a close moment between Kevin and Eve, she left without saying a word. Kevin told Eve that he had hired a private investigator to follow Ian so they could have conclusive proof of his activities.
When Lucy went home, Ian was waiting for her on the doorstep. They were both suffering from extreme hurt and frustration, but agreed that they could always count on each other. Ian pulled Lucy into a hug, and the moment turned tense. When it seemed as though he was leaving, Lucy told him he didn't have to. Ian declared that he wasn't going anywhere, and he and Lucy kissed.
In the catacombs, Livvie replayed her memories of all the bad things she had done to her friends. She was horrified not only by her own behavior, but by Caleb's manipulations. When he appeared at her side, she smiled at him and told him that she was choosing him over her neglectful family and friends. Caleb said he didn't believe her, and he needed to test her to make sure she was true. The test was that he wanted her to kill Jack and prove that she no longer loved him. After kissing Caleb, Livvie called Jack and said she needed to see him right away.
Jamal paid a visit to the Hartmans, and Mrs. Hartman reluctantly let him in. He tried to speak on Valerie's behalf, but Mrs. Hartman didn't want to hear from him. She revealed that Alison had come to visit as well, and he was dismayed to hear that. He agreed to leave, but before he could, he noticed that Hope had a strange birthmark behind her ear. It was identical to a birthmark that he had in the same spot.
Rafe talked Alison out of opening the DNA test results by reminding her that her love for Jamal should be stronger than her doubts. She thanked Rafe for being an amazing friend and planted a kiss on his cheek. Jamal found them and furiously asked Alison why she had visited the Hartmans. Alison tried to explain, but before she could, Jamal snatched the envelope out of her hands. He asked if it had anything to do with him being Hope's father, and he opened it. He was stunned when he read the results of the DNA test that proved he really was Hope's father. He asked Alison when she planned on telling him the truth.
