Lucy and Ian ran into each other at The Recovery Room and reiterated their plan to keep their friendship and their recent intimate encounter separate. When Lucy wanted to sit down and talk to him, however, Ian told her that he was going to see Daniel at the Lighthouse. Lucy pressed him to exercise caution, but Ian was determined to see his son. As she was leaving, Lucy heard a social worker talking about paying a surprise visit on Kevin and Daniel to make sure the baby was well. Lucy asked Victor to keep the woman busy to give her time to get to the Lighthouse first.
Kevin and Eve were surprised when Ian showed up wanting to see the baby since he knew that neither he or Eve was supposed to be there. Ian declared that nothing and no one could keep him from his child. Before the argument could escalate, Lucy arrived and told them that the social worker was on her heels. Ian and Eve hid in the closet while Lucy and Kevin put on a good show for the social worker. When she left, Ian stated that he had thought of a way for he and Eve to have Daniel permanently, but he was certain that his wife wasn't going to like his idea.
Alison tried to mend fences with Jamal, but he remained adamant that she had betrayed him by keeping the truth about Hope from him. Jamal confessed that part of his anger stemmed from the fact that he didn't want to be a deadbeat dad like his father had been. Alison assured him that Hope was doing well with the Hartman's, but Jamal was torn about what he should do for his daughter. Jack came in and admitted to his part in helping Alison discover the truth about Hope. Jamal's feeling of betrayal grew since he trusted Alison and Jack more than anyone in the world. Jack and Alison lamented that they had no idea how to repair their broken relationships.
Jack confronted Livvie about trying to kill him, but she denied it. She adamantly told him that she no longer wanted to be a part of his life and declared that if he didn't leave her alone she would call the police. Jack left, but Rafe soon showed up. He urged Livvie to remember what a good person she was and join him in his fight against Caleb. Livvie asserted that she was as screwed up as the rest of her family and that Caleb was the only person who understood her. Rafe questioned what she would do if she had to go after Kevin and Livvie declared she would do whatever was necessary
