Lucy visited Kevin and suggested that perhaps they should take a break from each other. She was still smarting over the fact that Kevin helped Eve get Daniel back, but wouldn't help her look for Christina. She was further hurt when Kevin claimed that Daniel was actually in the picture whereas Christina was long gone. He did tell her that he loved her and said that he would try to be more supportive in helping her find her daughter. Lucy agreed to give things another chance. Listening from the stairs, Livvie realized that she had the perfect weapon to break up Lucy and Kevin. Lucy returned home only to find Christina on her doorstep. Bursting into tears, she hugged the little girl close to her. At the same time, Kevin's P.I. gave him photos of Lucy and Ian in compromising positions. Ian and Eve feigned an amicable reconciliation in the hopes that the visiting social worker would allow them to regain custody of Daniel. Though the social worker appreciated that they were making an effort, she said it take a lot more for them to be proven fit parents. Ian and Eve agreed to move back in together — but strictly for appearances sake. However, that night the sexual tension of being together almost overwhelmed them. Karen decided to heed Chris' advice and not tell Frank anything more about being a vampire. When Frank came to her and said that he believed her tale, Karen told him that she had lied and that she really was hooked on drugs again. Though crushed, Frank remained committed to standing by her side, but Karen told him she needed to go to rehab alone. She also felt that they should call off their engagement. Frank agreed to do so, but only until she was well. Alone with Chris, Karen told him that she would move in with him for the sake of his experiments. A triumphant Chris was stunned when he received a visitor he'd thought long dead.
